The Race Is On
John McCain has announced his running-mate. It’s the Republican governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin.
She makes perfect sense from a Republican point of view. She’s VERY conservative, even opposing a woman’s right to choose. In her first term as governor and serving three years on a city council before that, she’s not tied to Washington at all. She’s even described as being more conservative than McCain which should settle some GOP people who were concerned about that.
I kinda get the feeling this is a tactic by the GOP to sway some female voters who are “angry” at Obama for not choosing Hillary to run with him. Or for losing to him in the first place. I don’t understand that logic, but okay. I don’t feel you should vote based on a grudge. Maybe that’s just me.
Before I elaborate more, I want to read up more about her to see what her deal is.
