Who? Me?

I don’t think I’m old.  If you ask my wife though, you’ll get a different story.  I’m about 30 days older than she is.  We were born in the same year a month a part.  Somehow, I’m old to her.  I don’t get it.  Then again, this is the woman who just recently started to pronounce the word sorry as “soory”.  She was abducted by Canadians and trained into speaking like they do.  That’s what I tell myself.  She blames her friend Carrie for changing the way she speaks because she also speaks Canadian.  I still thinks she was kidnapped by rogue Canadians.

My stepson.  Where to begin with him.  He’s strange.  Like his mama.  He’s nuts about Spiderman, Batman, Superman.  Just about every super-hero there is.  Unless it’s a girl superhero.  Then he’s not so crazy about them.  He’s known to frequently and randomly just get up from whatever he’s doing and tackle you.  He’s quite the creative little man.  He plays drums, guitar, keyboard, draws like a madman, writes, and will destroy just about anything around.

Mya.  A 9 year old Maltese that tries to put the moves on me to get me to feed her.  ALL DAY LONG.  It’s like no one ever feeds her.  If I even get near the kitchen she materializes out of nowhere and starts wagging her tail, staring at me and begging for food.  She even winks as if to say “I know you’re going to give me food, I won’t tell anyone, I promise *wink*”  WTF?!  What dog does that?!   This one.

So then there’s me.  I play guitar and drums.  I love WoW and now Age of Conan, too.  I’ll loaf all day watching movies with my wife if I can.  I love to cook.  It’s an adventure that sometimes turns out pretty well.  Still haven’t mastered the art of making garlic toast.  I have, however, perfected Charred Garlic Cinder Surprise.  YUM.  I want to drum in a band again.  I neither own a drumkit or have a band to play in. This will require a little work on my part.

Christy and I have been married since November 10 last year (’07) and every day is an adventure.  Sometimes good, sometimes not but over all I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.  She’s wonderful to come home to every day and lay down next to every night.

I sometimes drift into thoughts of randomimity and sometimes will just stop talking.
